The Editor, Sir:On Sunday, September 30, I read an article 'Time to defeat the lumpen' by Don Robothom. I read it twice. I turned the page and there was another by Ian Boyne and still on the other page was one by Edward Seaga. Excellent!
Sometime ago, I decided to give up buying The Sunday Gleaner as Sunday evening reading material was not so good at all. Let me praise your paper today because, at this time, your articles by a well informed and lucid-writing collection of learned men and women have transformed your newspaper into my Sunday pièce-de-résistance of my quiet Sunday evenings.
Not only are your writers very select, but the photographs have taken on a better look in all the sections. Chester Francis-Jackson, our own Jamaican Hedda Hooper, throws in a little spice avant-garde, the business section, auto, careers are teachings us so much to make our lives better and of course your Outlook magazine features individuals of interest.
I call it my Sunday literature book!
