KELLY'S WORLD - A wha do dem bwoy ya?
published: Monday | October 1, 2007

Ok, now I'm really disturbed. I read an article in an issue of The Star the other day and it talked about teenage boys buying drugs and other products to help boost their sexual performance. Now, according to some of the world's leading so-called experts on sex, the teen years, circa 17 or so, are a young man's sexual peak. So wha dem need drugs fa?

One fellow said that we (the boys), couldn't afford to flop. Maybe if you weren't having sex with every Tasheka, Kamesha and Samantha you wouldn't be worried about flopping?

A few things bother me a lot about this whole thing. According to the story, a couple of these boys weren't even 16 yet, which is the legal age to be 'doing it' in the first place. Then it seems perfectly clear to me that these boys (and they are boys, nuh done grow yet), either have waaaay too much time on their hands or put all their efforts and focus into the wrong things at the wrong times. I wonder how many of them were having sex when they should have been in extra class or something? Oh sure, they can use 'stone', but I bet some of them can't even spell the word! You're illiterate but you're a stud! Congratulations, your mother must be so proud.

Let me point something out, sex ain't going anywhere! As long as the human race is around, and it's been around for a while, with the possibility to last a little longer, there will be sex. So wha di rush? And if it was a case that they are just wild now in their teen years and then settle down later, that's one thing. But invariably, they stay the same way long after their ages no longer reside on the calendar. If these guys are using this stuff now, can you imagine what they'll be using when they hit 40? Those pills might be fuelled by nuclear power at the rate these guys are going.

Protecting themselves

When a young, healthy male goes popping those pills and other stuff so early, I believe it must mash him up in future.

I only hope that for all the money they're spending to help them perform, they're spending a few dollars to protect themselves. Sure, it's all well and good to satisfy the ladies, but if you contract STIs and/or the deadly HIV/Aids, that won't be much of a consolation.

Call me old-fashioned; I care not. My concern is that some of these drugs are made for men who have real physical trouble with performing sexually. When a young, healthy male goes popping those pills and other stuff so early, I believe it must mash him up in future. And if it does, a good!
