Spiritual oneness
published: Monday | October 1, 2007

Lodrick Bailey and his wife Rosemarie Henry at the beginning of their spiritual journey.

At the beginning of the wedding ceremony, the partners proceeded to th as two individuals. At the end of the ceremony, they departed as one. Rosemarie Henry and Lodrick Bailey, members of the Shiloh Apostolic Church in Port Antonio, Portland, took this journey on August 4.

It was a relationship based on spiritual oneness. Their desire is to see God do great things through them.

Trial period

When they met at church in 2004, it was a serious trial period during which they thoroughly studied each other's emotional, moral, spiritual and social characteristics. It was based on this evaluation that they chose to exchange marriage vows.

It came as a surprise to Rosemarie on the morning of December 15, 2006, while she was at home preparing for her exams. Lodrick visited her, took the books from her, looked deep into her eyes and proposed. She certainly got an 'A' in that course.

Guests applauded when, on the instruction of officiating minister, Bishop Delroy Farr, O.D., the groom told Rosemarie that he loved her with all his heart and he realised what real love was when he met her. He explained that he had planned on getting married at the age of 35, but on the day he met Rosemarie he was 35.

The reception followed at the JAMAL Centre, Port Antonio. The couple honeymooned in Ocho Rios.
