The Editor, Sir:
I love you, my sisters, but please love yourselves also.
I went to a parent-teacher meeting last week at a primary school, and, as a Jamaican man who loves dearly my Jamaican women, I was disgusted when I saw some of the shapes our beautiful women have become.
On a trip to a couple of the tourist towns on the north and south coasts, most of the women guests were in good physical shape. There were female tourists jogging on our highways, beaches etc., ages ranging from early 20s to mid-80s. Then, I looked around and there were no Jamaican women.
My sisters, you need to get physical again. Anytime you look down and your stomach surpasses your breasts, that's a huge problem to yourselves and your men. What, then, would you expect to attract us to you? Memories?
My working sisters, the purpose of working must be to enhance livity, and a lot of you are defeating the purpose by the way you look. Success lies within, sisters, and not with tangible assets.
I am, etc.,
