Gloria Smith appointed Court of Appeal judge

Supreme Court Judge Gloria Smith has been appointed to act as a Court of Appeal judge effective September 24.

Justice Smith is a past student of St. Hugh's High School and a graduate of the Norman Manley Law School.

She was a prosecutor for several years in the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions until she was appointed a resident magistrate. She acted as a puisne judge in 1997 and 1998 and was appointed to the Supreme Court bench in May 1999.
