published: Friday | September 7, 2007

Saint Internationalis celebrating the success of two of its models who are featured in the annual Trace magazine's 'Black Girl's Rule' issue.

Sosheba Griffiths and Kareen Taylor grace the pages of the issue that features the hottest black models in the world of fashion. This edition has as its guest editor, timeless supermodel-turned-makeup tycoon, Iman.

Both girls are winners of Saint International's Fashion Face Of The Caribbean. Featured among the top 10 in the world, Sosheba and Kareen received two and three pages respectively.

In the August issue of Vibe magazine, five Saint models were featured to celebrate the achievements of French designer - Christian Dior. The latest endorsement by Trace proves that Saint models are among the world's best.

Sosheba Griffiths

Sosheba

The former Trench Town resident continues to make record-breaking strides in the fashion industry. After her stunning pose for Victoria Secret, a multi-page spread for Chinese Harper's Bazaar, the cover of Spain's Ibiza Style, and Japan's Luire magazine and her appearance for Seventeen magazine for hip brands Libertine and H&M, define her arrival into the big leagues of fashion. She completed her Victoria shoot with famed Jamaican-born fashion photographer Walter Chin.

In Milan, she made an appearance as the face of Jamaica for Italy's high-glam Vogue Gioiello (the jewellery edition of Italian Vogue) in a spread entitled Jewel as Global Glamour. While in Milan, she also appeared for MAC Cosmetics, Roberto Cavalli and several others. She then flew to Paris to appear for high fashion brand CHLOE.

In her first appearance for New York Fashionweek in February, she booked eight very cool shows and opened for the hip brand Twinkle in the tents at Bryant Park. She also walked for Douglas Hannant, Diesel, Zang Toi, Chaiken and Baby Phat.

Sosheba was last week confirmed to be representedby top London agency - Premier Models. She joins Saint supermodel Nakeisha Robinson who is also represented by Premier. There is a great buzz around Sosheba in London after she was confirmed by Julien McDonald and his production director James Noelle (of JN Production - one of London's prestigious fashion production companies) for his spring/summer '08 collections in September at London Fashionweek. Julien McDonald's show is normally the grand finale for London Fashionweek. It is considered the most prestigious with Naomi Campbell, Paris Hilton and other celebrities making regular appearances for the trendsetting designer.

KAREEN TAYLOR

Kareen

Recently, Saint International model Kareen Taylor was named Model Of The Week by leading fashion industry ratings website Models.com. Winner of the 2005 Fashion Face Of The Caribbean title and originally from Fletchers land, she is signed to hip boutique agency Red Model Management.

She was scouted by one of the agency's directors Dave Fothergill who was a judge at the competition. She started her international career with Vision Model Management and made a strong showing in her first season closing for the prestigious Imitation of Christ show. She also made stunning appearances for other leading designers such as Ashish N. Soni and Mary Ping during New York's Mercedes Benz Fashion Week spring/summer '07 shows.

Kareen has made several editorial appearances including NEO 2 magazine. The buzz in the international fashion circles is that Kareen's option for Jean Paul Gaultier's exclusive show is an appearance during Paris Fashion Week this October. 'Kareen is a dedicated model with a very sophisticated look and a sweet personality that clients love,' says Saint CEO Dewight Peters. Kareen was a hit among the international press at the recent Style Week.
