THE EDITOR, Sir:

I saw a cartoon in The Gleaner of August 21, showing Bruce Golding saying to Hurricane Dean that he did not change course, but contrary to that statement I beg to differ, because 'Dean' indeed did change course, ask any meteorologist.

If 'Dean' did not change course then 'Jamaica Land We Love' would have become 'Jamaica Land We Loved' because of the vast devastation that would have taken place, so I say thanks be to God Almighty that 'Dean' did change course.
