I'm researching the family of William Gentles and Amelia Bolton who lived in and around Trelawny since 1823.

William was born in Scotland and his occupation was planter. Children of this couple: Thomas Gentles 1824 (lived in Falkirk Scotland); William Gentles married Catherine who had Alexander Bolton Gentles 1857/1898. Alexander Bolton Gentles married Jane Eliza and had Victor William Hastings Munro Gentles 1883/1965. Victor W. H. M. Gentles married Christina and had Waldie, Thompson, Gladston, daughters Mae (Cox) and Valerie (Johnston). Waldie Hastings Munroe Gentles died in 1993 and his interment was at Duncans Cemetery, Trelawny.

All of the deaths I have found in your newspaper over the years, so I'm hoping that someone who is part of this family will be able to contact me and further fill in the missing links.

This Gentles family now lives all across the world and I have traced them to England, Canada, United States, New Zealand, Samoa, South Africa and Australia so far.
