Former General manager of Victoria Mutual Wealth Management, (VMWM), David Wan has resigned that organisation and according to sources, is tipped to join GraceKennedy's wealth management arm, First Global Financial Services Limited in a senior capacity.

His resignation from VMWM took effect on July 31. Up to press time the Financial Gleaner was told by one of VMWM's directors, Allan Lewis that the company was actively recruiting a successor to Wan.

In the meantime, he said Marjorie Clarke, manager of Money Market Trading at VMWM is presently acting as head of the organisation until a replacement is found.

Wan has been head of VMWM for the last five years, having joined the parent company, Victoria Mutual Building Society over six years ago.

He has over 20 years experience in the banking sector, including working at Citibank in Miami during the 1980s and early 1990s. He was also a director of FINSAC, the government's financial sector rescue vehicle.

When the Financial Gleaner contacted president of First Global Financial Services, Sandra Shirley concerning Wan's possible appointment to that company, she cheerfully responded: "I have no comment."
