The aim
According to Dr. Donald Massenburg, chief medical officer for the mission, the aim is to see 250 persons per day during the five-day visit at the Church of Christ Assembly in Portmore.
"We have treated persons for high blood pressure, diabetes, sinus, eczema and a host of other illnesses and the great thing about it is that they all appreciate our gesture," Dr. Massenburg said. "It's a good feeling."
One beneficiary of treatment, Audrey Baxter, said: "I think they are quite professional, affectionate and let you feel at home and, moreover, it is for free, yet still they treat you with utmost respect."
Several persons told The Gleaner that, for the last four years, they have looked forward to the visits from the mission.
