Mexican ambassador to visit

Secretary of Foreign Relations of Mexico, Ambassador Patricia Espinosa Cantellano, will arrive in the island today on an official visit.

According to a release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, the ambassador will head an 18-member delegation of top officials who will participate in the seventh meeting of the Jamaica/ Mexico Binational Commission on Friday, at the Foreign Ministry.

Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Minister, Senator Anthony Hylton, and Minister Espinosa will open the one-day meeting of the Jamaica/Mexico Binational Commission, which is the principal framework within which bilateral cooperation between both countries has developed.

Later in the afternoon, they will host a press conference at the ministry, after signing the Final Act and Agreements arising from the commission's meeting.

After attending additional metings, Ms. Espinosa will leave the island on Friday evening.
