The official start of Caribbean Model Search got off with a bang at the Penthouse, Pulse headquarters on Trafalgar Road on Tuesday night. When the Gleaner team arrived at 8:00 p.m., the venue was scanty with the exception of numerous model hopefuls laughing and enjoying the limelight. Most looked fashionable in little dresses of different styles.

With an open bar and food set out, the night promised to be an entertaining evening. DJ Denvo was at the controls playing pop hits such as 'Rehab' by Amy Winehouse, 'Beautiful Girls' by Sean Kingston, 'Glamorous' from Fergie and others that had Pulse Director Romae Gordon and others dancing and singing along.

The venue slowly filled with models, persons affiliated with Pulse and sponsors as the DJ moved to old school dancehall with Traffic Blocking and others.

Showed off their moves

The models took the dance floor as they showed off their moves. They really got down with the 'hot wuk' and other dance moves. One girl in green took the dance floor as the others urged her on.

After 9:00 p.m., there was a brief break as Pulse CEO Kingsley Cooper took over the mic to say a few words.

Mr. Cooper said "This is a great opportunity to bring everybody together. It's a party, so let's have fun and enjoy."

A representative from Cable and Wireless also made a few comments on the chance that these young ladies would get, having become involved with Pulse.

The party resumed as the still more glamorous arrived and the music resumed to Sean Paul's 'Gimme Di Light', Shop Boyz' 'Party Like A Rockstar', and Mims' remix to 'This Is Why I'm Hot'.

When The Gleaner team left the Penthouse after 10:00 p.m., the party was still kicking with life as more persons walked into the venue.
