Prophetic vision?
published: Monday | July 23, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

I am not a very frequent dreamer. Nor am I one who takes much interest in local politics, as I have never been convinced that the motives of our politicians are trul I had a strange dream last night, however, which keeps on coming back to me! I dreamt that it was August 27 and there was the Prime Minister prancing up and down Jamaica House screaming, "But I went for the 27th and I only got 27 seats".

The thing kept on coming back to me over and over until I awoke this morning when it occurred to me that today was the 17th. So, I began to wonder whether the number 7 really has some peculiar significance! I am now counting down with more than average interest to August 27; for if the Prime Minister's party ends up with 27 seats, I am going to begin wondering whether I too could be blessed with prophetic vision and which would cause me to want to start considering a career change. So look out, Brother Phinn, as I could be coming over to join the ranks.

I am, etc.,

ROBERT BROWN
