Deenah got off the mark in the fifth event for four-year-old and upward maidens when his DEVILISH ISHA made all the running under apprentice Oral Bennett at 1500 metres, coming off a six-month lay-up.
A smiling Deenah, who also owns and bred DEVILISH ISHA, was doused by fellow trainers, who crowded the winners' enclosure.
The gang did not have to wait long before making a second trip as Fearon's SEA CRACKERS brushed aside rivals from the start to romp the 1200-metre sixth race with apprentice Jason Simpson.
Fearon also owns the four-year-old gelding, who had shown vast improvement in his previous race.
The triumphant trainer did not escape the celebratory dousing as he was introduced to the racing public with a victory.
Deenah and Fearon were among a group of 23 trainers, who successfully completed the trainers' programme, co-coordinated by Dr. St. Aubyn Bartlett, the JRC's chief veterinarian.
