WHAT IT'S ABOUT: Hollywoodland is full of drama and suspense as one private detective (Brody) sets out to prove that the Man of Steel, TV's Superman George Reeves' (Affleck), death was not suicide, as was ruled by the Los Angeles Police Department, but that he was the victim of foul play. But as he digs deeper to find the truth, he discovers a side of Hollywood where truth and justice are not so easily found.
The movie progresses throug times, as it begins with the present, where investigators are at the murder scene, then viewers are taken through time to show how George Reeves actually came to land the role of Superman and, as he becomes famous, he makes a few enemies and jealous lovers. In the end, one's only disappointment might be the fact that after being taken on a roller-coaster ride, through different suspects and believable theory, it all appeared to be in vain.
LONG STORY SHORT: After TV's Superman George Reeves' death is ruled a suicide, one detective tries to prove that the Man of Steel was really the victim of foul play.
