UK trade mission to explore joint venture opportunities in Jamaica
published: Friday | June 22, 2007

A 10-member trade delegation from Britain will visit Jamaica at the end of June to explore possible business partnerships.

A 'drop-in' session set for June 27 at the Jamaica Pegasus will explore joint ventures and opportunities for investment, the British High Commission said.

The companies in the delegation will make stops in Barbados and Trinidad, before arriving here on June 26 for a four-day visit.

The 10 companies in the mission are from the fast food, financial services, hospitality, entertainment, child care services, business development consultancies, trade facilitators and vocational training through sports sectors.

The mission is organised by the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce from the West Midlands.

Funded by ERD Fund

The visit is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and supported by UK Trade and Investment.

The mission will be led by Ajay Desai, head of diversity, (Inter-national Trade) Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber, and Athel-ston 'Tony' Sealey, the managing director of Canefield Limited.
