The public purseI agree with the stance taken by the Auditor General, Adrian Strachan, that public officials should be prosecuted for mismanaging money from the public purse. However, I am surprised that the Auditor General just announced this statement, since it has been years since officials have been stealing money from taxpayers.
I believe that Jamaica can progress if there are less self-centred officials who only enter politics for themselves and not for the good of the people. Because of so much dishonesty in our government, I believe not enough funding is provided to our schools and communities, among other things.

Canadian dollarWe need to proceed with an instant investigation of the foreign exchange biddings, especially as it relates to the Canadian dollar. What on earth could be causing the high rate of exchange for the Canadian dollar?
Canada is not a high rate country; how often do we trade with them; are we travelling extensively to Canada as a people per capita? Look where the Canadian dollar has reached! This without explanation! There is a sin in procrastination and it is true. For a while now, I have been watching the slide of the Jamaican dollar against the Canadian dollar and intended on several occasions to enquire but, alas, this had slipped completely out of hand.

Concern in St. AnnI noted with concern and much interest the choice of candidate chosen for South East St. Ann by the PNP. It would appear with what transpired with the Prime Minister, that she shows no respect for the people of the constituency. Does she not realise you reap what you sow? The people of South East St. Ann, myself included, hopefully, will vote with their feet and common sense in time. We have suffered enough throughout, since Mr. Mullings disembarked, and the truth be told, he did the best in his time with what he was afforded. Our area is now in the worst state it has ever been for almost 20 years, and the constituents are in a near state of revolt because they feel they have no voice, and the actions of the recent MP did little to alleviate our concern. Now everyone is watching and waiting for the next chapter in this ongoing saga.
