Diary: Fashionable Yet Honourable
published: Sunday | June 3, 2007

Jodi-Kaye Smith examines one of Fashionable Yet Honourable's creations.

The first week of May presented a mixture of challenges and opportunities.

Running a business and working full time requires dedication, wisdom, time management and a balance between career and personal life.

One of the main struggles over the past few weeks has been maintaining this balance, while dealing with a death in my family.

But, God is faithful! Through it all, the business continued to get the support of existing clientele and piqued the interest of new clients.

But the most exciting news of the month has to be a proposal received from a manufacturer for Fashionable Yet Honourable to consider becoming a distributor of its products.

Opportunities and challenges

Such response helps to concretise our belief that challenges create opportunities for growth and development, while opportunities widen your horizons. So we are giving serious thought to the proposal.

The second week of the month saw us engaged in stocktaking. Though time-consuming, the exercise was necessary and proved to be very useful.

Plans are currently being put in place to purchase more stock in June and our customers are excited about the new items they will soon be able to choose from.

As time progresses, our client base increases and we make every effort to give personalised attention aimed at satisfying each client's needs.
