Changemakers: Great men brought to life
published: Wednesday | May 30, 2007

This photo from Peter Ferguson's book, 'Changemakers', shows head of the Kingston Restoration Company, Morin Seymour. - photo by Peter Ferguson

Changemakers 101 Portraits of Men in Jamaica, a book about those of us who affect real change within society, is one of those that must be seen to be believed. Photographer Peter Ferguson elicits the kind of power from his pictures that can be attributed to his subjects.

We continue to look at this book with specific focus on Morin Seymour, head of the Kingston Restoration Company, the man who believes more than anyone else in the potential of the parish.

"There is no place else in the world like Kingston," he has been heard saying. And in this photo, he stoops overlooking the small expanse of land he so badly wants to rebuild.

The book is available on sale at 59 Hope Road in St. Andrew. You may call: 978-7389 or email: info@peterferguson.net
