Hylton backs PM's choice for Chief Justice

SOLICITOR General Michael Hylton says he believes Justice Zaila McCalla to be an excellent candidate for the job of Chief Justice.

Mr. Hylton, who spoke with journalists after addressing the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica's Job Creation Awards ceremony at the Terra Nova hotel, St. Andrew, yesterday, was on the shortlist for the job of Chief Justice but withdrew his application because he felt he did not enjoy the support of Opposition Leader Bruce Golding.
