The companies - Courts Jamaica Ltd., polystyrene manufacturers, Free Form Factory Ltd., and Compact Travel Agency Limited - were recognised at the PSOJ's Job Creation Awards ceremony at the Terra Nova hotel yesterday.
Criteria
The awardees met the criteria of having made investments that have led to the creation of a minimum of 25 newly - employed persons within the previous 12 months in the case of companies, and five new jobs in the case of small businesses.
Compact Travel Agency, which has been in operation since 1989, and the five-year-old Free Form factory walked away with job creation awards for small businesses.
Furniture giants Courts Jamaica Ltd., which has been in existence for more than 40 years, also got a prestigious award for providing jobs and nation building.
