Consultants, rescue Jamaica!
published: Monday | May 28, 2007

MEMBERS OF the Institute of Management Consultants of Jamaica (IMCJ) have been charged to lead the country out of poverty.

Consultant psychiatrist, Dr. Aggrey Irons, in his address at the 30th anniversary banquet of the institute last Friday at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel in New Kingston, said, "In Jamaica, we need what I call Operation PEP - Poverty Eradication Programme. To lead this operation we must consult the people who know how to eradicate poverty, such as the Institute of Management Consultants."

"Thought is the first step in behaviour. We think, you see, you do. That is how we behave and consultants can assist in helping Jamaicans to think well. We (Jamaicans) have poverty of thought which then leads to our demise," he added.
