All set for Business House kick-off
published: Saturday | May 19, 2007

The 2007 Kingston and St. Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Business House league competitions kick off today at 2:00 p.m. with its annual opening ceremony and dress parade at the Cable and Wireless Sports Club at Chalmers Avenue, followed by one match each in its division one and two leagues.

In the division one encounter, National Commercial Bank (NCB) tackle Scotiabank at Chalmers Avenue, starting at 4:00 p.m.

The University of Technology (UTech) and Wisynco Group Limited are the new teams in division two, while National Water Commission are the defending division one league champions.

Guest speaker will be KSAFA president, Ambassador Stewart Stevenson. The league competition will continue with three division-one matches.

The Mark Buckland-coached NCB, which won the one-day five-a-side rally last Saturday after beating Port Authority 3-2 in a penalty shoot-out, will start as favourites to get the better of BNS. They will look to Boys' Town National Premier League players Devon Faulkner, Victor Riley, Calneth Gray, Carlton Rowe, Machelle Campbell, Damion Thomas and Courtney Blake for victory.

Scotiabank, coahced by Calvert Fitzgerald, have three Tivoli Gardens NPL players in his line-up - Nicholas McCreath, Richard West and Damion Gordon. They will be supported by former NCB captain Kevin Henzil, Corey Bennett, Paul Alexander and Antar Freeman.
