THE EDITOR, Sir:

Regarding the letter 'Regional impact of Ja violence' in the Saturday, April 28th issue, I fully share the view of Mr. Mahfood.

In that, the next government needs to do something about our crime situation before our products and business places become non-existent. Because of the country's violent nature, persons are reluctant to do business with or employ Jamaicans.

If this is continues, what is going to happen to our future business-men and women when they are ostracised for being Jamaicans? What will become of the island when no one wants our products on their shelves nor want to do business with us?

There's a saying, "prevention is better than cure". We, as Jamaicans, need to do something before these criminals make it impossible for us to "step-up inna life". A time must come when persons should feel justified in being 'informers' and the public will cheer them on. Sounds a little impossible, but remember: "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me". God Bless.
