TRINIDAD AND Tobago coach Anton Corneal said he expected a tough challenge from all four other teams participating in this year's Under-17 World Cup qualifiers."It is going to be tough for all five teams, but we have prepared well for this tournament and we came here to qualify," said Corneal.
"We are prepared for this tournament because we have played a lot of practice games back home against some of the top clubs there," he said.
"We have reached this stage many times before and have never gone on to qualify for the Youth World Cup. So we are very focused on the task that lies ahead of us," Corneal said.
"We have played against Jamaica before and I think that they are a much stronger and better team now."
Corneal said his team was a rounded one and that it would be going all-out to make sure it emulates its senior counterparts, the Soca Warriors, who made it into the World Cup in Germany last year.
Trinidad and Tobago finished third in last year's Under-16 Caribbean championships after they beat Jamaica 2-0 before going down 1-0 to Haiti.
The squad: Jesse Fullerton, Ryan O'Neil, Sheldon Bateau, Sean DeSilva, Akeem Adams, Daniel Cyrus, Brenton Balbosa, Chad De Freitas, Stephen Knox, Daniel Joseph, Robert Primus, Chike Sullivan and Kevin Molino.
