Search on for missing fishermen
published: Tuesday | April 10, 2007

Three fishermen who operate off the Paggee Coast in Port Maria, St. Mary, have been missing at sea since Saturday.

They are 27-year-old Judson Smith of Paggee district; 36-year-old Winston Dixon and a man only known as 'Happy', both of Frontier district in the parish.

According to a Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) report, the men left the Paggee Beach on Saturday in a 28-foot fishing boat with the words 'No Retreat No Surrender' written on it. When the men failed to return to shore, a report was made to the police.

The Jamaica Defence Force coastguard and the Marine police carried out a search for the men but they were not found. According to the CCN, the search will continue.
