Harbour View maintained the six-point lead atop the Wray and Nephew National Premier League with a hard-fought 2-0 win over August Town at the Compound Sunday night.

Goals by Christopher Harvey in the 22nd and Fabian Taylor in the 86th earned Harbour View three valuable points as they pushed towards the title.

Harbour View move to 57 points, six ahead of second place Portmore United on 51.

With seven rounds remaining Harbour View have the title in sight but coach Lenworth Hyde Sr. is taking everything in stride, especially after what transpired last season when Harbour View blew a 13-point lead to lose by five points to Waterhouse.

Said Hyde Sr.: "We are just dealing with it one game at a time. We have Portmore on Wednesday so we just have to deal with that. We are just focused on trying to play some good football every time we come on the field."

On Wednesday, Harbour View tackle their latest challenger in the dangerous Portmore in a crucial encounter at the Compound.

"It will be a big game. Tough and exciting game for the spectators and we are looking forward to it," said Hyde.

August Town remain in seventh position on 34 points despite losing their first game of the third round.

Coach Hugh McCarthy sai his team is playing well he needs to address their "head space".

"It is a big problem in our team. We are working on it. But they did well. I can't knock them for anything else," said McCarthy.
