Police to investigate cop crash

Police are investigating eyewitness reports that the cause of a car crash Sunday afternoon along Constant Spring Road, St. Andrew, was due to the negligence of a police officer.

Three special constables attached to Harman Barracks and a civilian were injured in the crash. The civilian was identified as Orville Drummond of Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth. They were taken to hospital where two of the three constables were treated and released and the other policeman and Mr. Drummond admitted in stable condition.

According to police reports about 3:20 Sunday afternoon, three special constables were travelling in a Toyota Hiace service vehicle along Constant Spring Road when on reaching the intersection of Dunrobin Avenue the bus collided with a Nissan Frontier driven by Mr. Drummond.
