Homework complaint
published: Tuesday | April 3, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

Fourth graders get way too much homework. Every night we do loads of it. We have no time to play. Also, we never have time to spend with our families.

Every evening, we come home and spend the night doing school work. No one likes to come home and find yourself looking at death ... we've done enough work at school anyway. Every Monday we get a packet with the week's homework in it, the packet is always gigantic. Homework is disturbing!

We have no time to play after school because of homework. After homework, we have ONLY five minutes to play. I have an X-Box, and I can hardly ever play it. Every night I stay up until 9 o'clock. Homework is boring!

We never get time to get closer to our families. I love to play Monopoly with my parents, but I can't. We should be able to spend more time with our family. Homework is exhausting!

As you have read, homework is boring. We have to do loads of it; we get no free time, and no time to get to our families. So please consider lightening our load of homework each night!

I am, etc.,
