Scotland Yard help will not cost government
published: Tuesday | April 3, 2007

Information Minister Donald Buchanan, yesterday, said that it would not cost the Government to have Scotland Yard detectives in the island to probe the murder of Pakistan coach, Bob Woolmer.

He also said Minister of National Security Dr. Peter Phillips had given a full report on the Bob Woolmer investigation at yesterday's meeting of the Cabinet.

"The minister indicated to Cabinet that those investigations are on the way and that the police are making every effort along side of the other agencies like the health authorities as well as the justice system," he told yesterday's post Cabinet press briefing at Jamaica House.

When asked about the conflicting reports surfacing in the international media as to the cause of Mr. Woolmer's death, Mr. Buchanan said "We await the final report from the Jamaica Constabulary Force team. When we have received that report, we will share it with the Jamaican public."
