Task force set up to boost CWC numbers
published: Tuesday | April 3, 2007

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC):

Tourism minister Noel Lynch says the Barbados government has set up a task force to come up with urgent solutions to boost hotel bookings for the last leg of the Cricket World Cup (CWC).

Lynch said the early exit of India and Pakistan, high ticket prices and the timing of the tournament were all impacting negatively on the island's tourism product and urgent solutions would have to be found ahead of the April 28 finals at the rebuilt Kensington Oval.
