The comic side of ceremony!
published: Sunday | April 1, 2007

Nobody looks happy to be here! - Rudolph Brown/Chief Photographer

Every year, much pomp and ceremony accompany the official opening of Parliament when the Governor-General delivers the throne speech and politicians dress to the nines to march in the boiling sun up and down Duke Street.

Party supporters adorn the sidelines as they peek through sturdy legs of horses and jostle for prime position to wave flags and shout to their favourite minister. It is a spectacle.
