Meadhaven close in on Police

Police National's chances of making into the National Premier League play-offs were dealt a severe blow on Saturday after they were held by to a 0-0 draw by Cavalier in the Kingston and St. Andrew Football Association (KSAFA)/Jamaica National (JN) Super League.

With two matches remaining in the season and three points separating the top three teams, Police National lead the points standings with 43 points, one ahead of Meadhaven United (42) who recorded a 4-1 victory over Constant Spring (19). The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) (40) occupy third spot after their 1-0 win over Duhaney Park (25), while Cavalier are fourth on 30.

In other games, Bull Bay (28) whipped Greenwich Town (17) 4-0, Maverley/ Hughenden (19) edged Mountain View (19) 1-0, while Santos (28) and bottom team Barbican (12) played to 0-0 draw.

In Major League action, Elleston Flats defeated Pembroke Hall 4-1, Real Mona stopped Seaview Gardens 4-1, Rockfort beat Brown's Town 2-0, Rae Town edged University of Technology (UTech), and Olympic Gardens and Central Kingston played to a 0-0 draw.

In Syd Bartlett matches played, Liguanea United defeated University of West Indies (UWI) 4-0, Swallowfield stopped Whitfield Town 2-1 and Island Special Constabulary Force (ISCF) and Maxfield Park played to a 0-0 draw.
