US embassy makes scholarship announcement
published: Monday | March 26, 2007

The United States Embassy's Office of Public Affairs is inviting full-time lecturers at tertiary institutions to apply for scholarships under the 2008 Fulbright/Latin American Scholarship Program of American Universities (LASPAU) Faculty Development Program Sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in the U.S. Department of State. The scholarships are available for full-time study in pursuit of master's or doctoral degrees at U.S. universities, beginning in August 2008.

The embassy says all applicants should complete the online application. This will allow officials at the Office of Public Affairs of the U.S. Embassy, the U.S. Depart-ment of State, and the LASPAU office in Cambridge, Massachu-setts, to view applicant records the day they are submitted and to communicate electronically with applicants.

Applications should be submitted electronically no later than Wednesday, May 2, 2007. Applicants should carefully follow the instructions provided at the web address. Once applications have been submitted, persons can return to the online application website to check application status and verify that supplemental documents provided have been received.

Application forms may be downloaded at the following website:
