Second-class treatment
published: Monday | March 26, 2007

THE EDITOR, Sir:

To Frank and Delores of Nova Scotia, Canada: I am aware of the situation that you are talking about and I must say you are totally blowing this out of proportion.

So, if they cordoned off a little area of the beach to entertain the tourists from the ship, what is wrong with that? The area where they do this is the least-used area of the beach, so no one is being displaced. If you need to use the beach, you can either go to the left or to the right of where they set up the event. I am sure that you enjoyed the music that they were playing when you were on the beach.

There is plenty of room for everyone on the beach. I have been on the beach during these events which are usually during the week and except for the ship and tourists, the beach is practically deserted, so I have no idea why you are complaining.

A welcome is extended to all tourists that come to Jamaica. Just come back, let your guards down, and let everybody enjoy Jamaica.

I am, etc.,
