Hats off to cricket
published: Monday | March 26, 2007

A cricket fan at the Pakistan and Ireland match at Sabina Park on Saturday, March 17. - Norman Grindley/Deputy Chief Photographer

Cricket, lovely cricket. While the action is on the field, the fashion in the stands is often equally exciting to behold. This is usually evident in the choice of head wear chosen by fans. From the functional to the funny and creative to the downright bizarre, you will see them at a match.

With the beautiful Caribbean sunshine beaming down on players, fans at Sabina Park, took refuge under some interesting creations and Flair was there to capture some of them.

There were wide brims, Rasta-inspired complete with locks already past the shoulders; and as for the Irish, we wonder how many of those supporters had to pay extra for overweight luggage when they arrived in Jamaica. Whatever the case, we say hats off to ICC Cricket World Cup 2007.
