LETTER OF THE DAY: Proud of Sara!
published: Sunday | March 18, 2007

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am very proud of Miss Lawrence for having taken the correct step of stepping down rather than having an abortion. It might have been difficult for her and her family to agree to what is certain disgrace, but she did the right thing. I do hope the child will grow up to be healthy and well-loved and the father will stand by this beautiful woman and their child.

It should be noted that I am not a Christian, but for my first two children ? one will graduate as a doctor this year and the other is doing well for herself after graduating with first-class honours ? I had to put up a fight to get the mother (and some of her supporters) not to have had abortions. So, not knowing what the future holds for us and our unborn children, we should never play God. Big up, my favourite Miss Jamaica!

I am, etc.,
