Well, it has happened! Montego Bay hotelier, Godfrey Dyer, ended his two-year courtship in marriage to Odette Soberam in Negril, Westmoreland, on Saturday. Here are highlights. Story will follow in our weekend Social sections.

Godfrey has never been happier, and this kiss proves that he plans to take that happiness to the apex. The two-time Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association president kisses his new bride, Odette, during their wedding ceremony on Saturday at the Grand Lido Negril.

These couples are booked to sail on the Carnival Cruise line where Godfrey Dyer and his new bride Odette Soberam-Dyer will spend their honeymoon. From left (front): Joyce McKenzie, Lorraine Edwards, Beverly Russell, Andrea Lyle, Yvonne James and Lynn Holloway and their spouses, (from left) Vandyke McKenzie, Loren Edwards, Robert Russell, George Thomas and George Holloway. They all depart today for five days on the high seas. Not in the picture is Sam James, who was busy making preparations for the reception.

Epel Sandford and wife Pearline travelled all the way from the hills of Clarendon to share in the magical moment with their best friend, Amy Morgan, mother of Godfrey Dyer, on the occasion of his marriage to Odette Soberam at the Grand Lido Negril on Saturday.

Looking stunningly radiant in this orange and gold number is Angelie Martin-Spencer, who created waves at Godfrey and Odette Dyer's wedding on Saturday.
