Tea Time!
published: Thursday | February 22, 2007

We asked some persons to taste various types of the Celestial Seasonings herbal teas and this was their response.

Winsome Ramsingh, May Pen:

I love the Celestial Seasonings teas but never tried the Perfectly Pear brand before. It is very good and I have up to three cups a day. I love the flavour and I would buy it if it were in my supermarket.

Ceila Morgan, Kingston:

I found the blend of honey, camomile and ginger to be quite relaxing. I actually had it just before going to bed and rather enjoyed the soothing effect. Found it worked better for me with a little sugar added.

Mrs. Sandra Cato, St. James:

The Echinacea tea relaxes me because I generally have a cup of tea before I sleep. I think it works but the flavour could be a little stronger because when I sweeten it, whether it is with honey or sugar, the taste of the sweetener overpowers it. I leave it for five minutes to 'draw' and it is not that I drink anything sweet. I think it could be a little more potent. Other than that I think it is good and I would buy it if the price is right.

Elaine Sandford-Maragh, New York:

My love for the herbal teas comes from the enjoyment I feel and the ability they give me to truly relax when I sit down with a cup. In view of this, herbal teas add to the quality of life for they calm the mind and upliftthe spirit. The Celestial Seasonings tea is the brand I always buy but I had never tried those two flavours before. I like them. I drank two cups of the one with the ginger, cinnamon, lemon grass, etc., and they were rather pleasant tasting.

Monica Lawrence, Clarendon:

You could identify the taste of the different ingredients as you sipped it, but together they were a perfect blend. Even if you had doubts about trying it, the aroma that hits you as soon as you open the package would seduce you into trying it. Once you do, there is nothing not to love.

Claudine Housen, Montego Bay:

I think it relaxes me because I generally have a cup of tea before I sleep. I think it works but the flavour could be a little stronger because when I sweeten it, whether it is with honey or sugar, the taste of the sweetener overpowers it. I leave it for five minutes to "brew" and it is not that I drink anything sweet. I think it could be a little more potent. Other than that, I think it is good and I would buy it if the price is right.

Veronica Pommelles, Portmore:

The Gensing tea tastes very good and has a nice flavour. I love it and it gives me energy, I would buy them.

Kathleen Blair, Kingston:

I always get them from my relatives abroad and I love them. The peppermint have a nice mint flavour , it is very lovely and anyone can drink them.
