published: Tuesday | February 20, 2007

As many as 10 horses changed hands on Saturday's nine-race programme at Caymanas Park, with third race winner TIME OF MY LIFE attracting six claims, one void.

The six-year-old gelding, who went wire-to-wire, was taken from trainer Desmond Shand for $290,000 by trainer Wilfred Chin on behalf of Kary Neale.

Shand, meanwhile, claimed the runner-up FORMULA ONE also for $290,000 on behalf of Delroy Archer in the same race. The third horse claimed out of the race was ROYAL MALICE again for $290,000 by trainer Phillip Elliott on behalf of Norris Phinn.

In the sixth race won by MANISH, beaten favourite CAPTAIN BONE was taken for $160,000 by trainer Lawrence Freemantle on behalf of Edmund Lam, BEAT THE DRUM for the same price by trainer Albert Chong for himself and THE MAGICIAN, also for $160,000 by trainer Robert Darby Sr. for himself.

In the closing race won by SENOR GATO, four of the eight starters were claimed.

SENOR GATO was picked up for $190,000 by trainer Gary Subratie on behalf of Keith Duncan, the runner-up ROBIN'S BAY for $200,000 by trainer Steadman Curtis for himself, WAGONIST also for $200,000 by trainer Frank Parham for Sonia Willieosby and DON DON for $170,000 by trainer Donovan Raymond on behalf of Henry Paige.
