Samuda
Opposition Member of Parliament for North Central St. Andrew, Karl Samuda, has agreed to appear before Parliament's Privileges Committee on Wednesday, February 28.
A letter was tabled in the House of Representatives Wednesday, confirming Mr. Samuda's attendance.
The Privileges Committee is currently considering a censure motion against Mr. Samuda, who last year accused the Government of receiving a report in relation to the Sandals White House controversy.
The report is alleged to have been submitted by a committee headed by Port Authority of Jamaica's president, Noel Hylton.
The Government had, however, ,denied ever receiving such a report and had called for Mr. Samuda to withdraw his statement, but he refused.
Subsequently, Government Member, Donald Buchanan, moved a censor motion against Mr. Samuda, which was passed in the house unopposed because the Opposition had walked out during the debate.
