Campion College and Immaculate Conception won the boys and girls high school competition respectively, while the University of the West Indies (UWI) topped all tertiary institutions at the Mayberry Investments Swim Meet at the National Stadium Pool on the weekend.

Campion finished on 510 points ahead of Wolmer's Boys (324) and St. George's College (225), while Immaculate had a similar, dominating performance, finishing with 551 points ahead of St. Andrew High (366) and Campion College (232).

Meanwhile, UWI blew their competition out of the water, collecting 365 points compared to pre-UWI (39) and Wings Jamaica Ltd. (35).

Hillel were the overall prep school winners with 428 points, while Sts. Peter and Paul were second on 290 points followed by Mona Prep with 258 points.

Naggo Head Primary and St. Andrew High received the Maurice Berry Spirit Trophy, named after the founder of Mayberry Investments, for their sportsmanship.

RECORDS

Twelve records were set on the first day of the two-day meet on Friday led by 12-year-old Kendese Nangle of Campion College. She established new records in the 12 and under 50m backstroke (34.29) and the 12 and under 50m butterfly (32.00).

Also among the record setters were Kingston College's Richard Graham in the 13-14-year-old 200m freestyle (2:08.93) and UWI's Ramon James in the 17 and over 50m butterfly (26.74). Saturday saw five new records established. Among them were St. Richard's Primary's Octavia Grey in the girls' 10-12 individual medley (3:06.96) and St. Andrew Prep's Sydrell Williams in the boys' equivalent in 3:01.82.

All event winners have been promised shares in Mayberry Investments as a part of their prize.
