Clothes do not make the woman
published: Sunday | February 11, 2007

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Over the past six to seven months, Dawn Ritch has been using her Sunday Gleaner columns in a rather silly attempt to apologise for Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller's public failures and media discrepancies. The clothes, dear Dawn, which one wears, do not make a man or a woman a gentleman or lady! Rather, it is how he or she speaks or behaves when being interviewed by the media in public; what he or she says, how it is said etc. Thus, dear Dawn, your caring 'love' for Sister P makes you come across as rather silly indeed.

I am, etc.,

GEORGE MURRAY
