Boxing 'invasion'
published: Friday | December 1, 2006

WORLDSTAGE PROMOTIONS, in association with the Jamaica Boxing Board and Irie FM, present 'Boxing Invasion' at Junction Building Depot in Junction, St. Elizabeth, tomorrow.

Central America and Caribbean medal winners Tsetsi Davis Nicholas Walters, Kevin White and Shawn Wheatle will headline the eight-fight card.

Lloyd Smith, Kimani Campbell, Ricardo Smith and Ricardo Brown will also be on show as the boxing board tries to take boxing back to its glory days in the island.

Meanwhile, in an attempt to get the fans out, the organisers have also lured 12 of St. Elizabeth's finest female models.

The models will be vying for $10,000 in cash and other prizes, including a two-year modelling contract.

Gate prizes will feature a round-trip to Miami, along with a flight to any Air Jamaica gateway in the Caribbean.

Air Jamaica, Irie FM, Tad's Record International, Island Guest House, MiPhone, Little Ochi Seafood Restaurant and Junction Building Depot are the sponsors of the event. Admission is $500.
