Prime Minister guest speaker at PAJ awards

Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller will deliver the keynote address at the Press Association of Jamaica Annual Journalism Awards and Dinner to be held on Friday, December 8. The event will culminate activities for an extended Journalism Week celebration.

On Sunday, December 3, media practitioners will worship together at the Boulevard Baptist Church in Kingston, St. Andrew. The service starts at 10:00 am.

On Tuesday, December 5, Public Defender Earl Witter will be guest speaker at a luncheon, hosted by Wray and Nephew Limited, to honour three veteran media practitioners.

The honorees are Christene King, executive editor of the Sunday Herald, Harvey Josephs, senior proof reader at the Gleaner Company, and T.K. Whyte, freelance reporter at the Jamaica Observer.
