What do you get when a raunchy comedienne, several media practi-tioners and officials from one of Jamaica's savviest financial groups, knock heads and glasses? A wild and wacky party, of course!
On Saturday, November 18, the Capital and Credit Financial Group held their media appreciation bash at the Morgan's Harbour Hotel, and with the help of funny-woman Elva, they showed members of the media and other guests a pretty good time.
The 'Bandana Crew' led by Capital and Credit's Michelle Wilson Reynolds, VP of Marketing and Corporate Affairs, played hosts but it was the antics of Elva that really made the evening fun.
Elva appropriately introduced herself as the "stress-free wig-wearing entertainer," and proceeded to recognise her fellow wig-
wearers, much to their delight (or camouflaged embarrassment), before initiating a series of games that she promised would help the guests get to know each other better.
A round of musical chairs proved to be most exciting, especially when it got down to the final two, where Suzette Hemmings and Kirk Waldemar vied for the single remaining seat. With the merry tones of Merritone Disco pulsating through the air, Hemmings emerged as the winner, then Elva commissioned a few more games, such as the men's 'Tuck een yuh belly' contest and scavenger hunt.
Take to the dance floor
Afterwards, she invited the guests to take to the dance floor, and dance they did to Merritone's artful selections. Even a few tourists who were staying at the hotel tried to get in on the fun, dancing and frolicking, albeit not in sync with the music!
Capital and Credit's CEO Ryland Campbell arrived at the venue in the latter part of the revelry, basically stepping off a plane and on to the grounds of Morgan's Harbour, just in time to join everyone else in the jamfest. And, like a true leader, he was at the forefront on the dance floor 'dropping legs' until approximately 8:00 p.m. when the party wound down.
