Emirates Shipping Line, represented locally by Seafreight Jamaica Ltd., won the Best Emerging Company Award at the eighth Lloyd's List Asia Maritime Awards ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on November 2.

Vikas Khan, chairman and CEO, received the award at the presentation ceremony which took place at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel. The event was well attended by top executives from leading shipping and transport companies throughout Asia.

Commenting on the award, the Emirates CEO stated: "This is the second award presented by a major media enterprise that Emirates Shipping Line has won within one month and is a testament of the recognition the company has received in the short time since its inception, in the eyes of the customers, media and readers of this prestigious magazine."
