JAMAICA WILL host one group of the CONCACAF Under-17 Finals next April to decide qualifiers for the 2007 FIFA Youth World Championship in Korea.
The format for the final round - set for April 2007 - will have total of nine countries competing in two groups, with groups to be hosted by Honduras (Group A - four teams) and Jamaica (Group B - five teams), CONCACAF said.
CONCACAF confirmed the format on Tuesday for the Under-17 final round next year that will qualify five teams to the FIFA tournament.
Joining the host nations in the CONCACAF Under-17 final round are Canada, Haiti, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, the U.S. and two more countries to qualify from the Central American qualification, which is set for El Salvador next month.
A draw to determine the teams in Group A and B will be made once Under-17 qualification is concluded and all the final-round teams are confirmed.
The top two teams from CONCACAF final-round Group A along with the best three Group B sides will progress to the FIFA Under-17 World Cup 2007.
