National Water Commission (NWC) tightens taps

With low rainfall in the hermitage watershed area already limi-ting the water supply to several communities in the Corporate Area, the National Water Commission (NWC) is extending restrictions to areas in and around Stony Hill and other locations served by the Seaview water treatment plant.

Beginning tomorrow, customers will, depending on their elevation and location on the system, either have no piped water or have low water pressure for extended periods throughout the day.

Customers served by the Constant Spring treatment Plant will continue to experience restrictions between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. and 4 a.m. daily as was previously implemented.

Scheduled lockoffs

Stony Hill area, 12 noon-5 p.m. and 9 p.m.-4 a.m. daily

Areas served by the Tavistock Tank in Jack's Hill, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and 8 p.m.-5 a.m.

The areas to be affected, served by the Tavistock Tank, include:

Farringdon Heights, Farringdon Way, Millsborough Avenue, Millsborough Crescent, Riva Ridge, Ridgeway, Linneman Avenue and Doorly Boulevard

Areas served by the Constant Spring System include: Manor Park, Shortwood Road and all roads leading off Allerdyce, Eastwood Park Gardens, Stilwell Road, Molynes Road, Liguanea Club, Moreton Park, Norbrook, Cherry Gardens, Havendale, Aylsham, Graham Heights, Acadia, Barbican, Jacks Hill, Hughenden, Smokey Vale, Russell Heights, Half-Way Tree Road and all roads leading off, Mannings Hill Road, Red Hills Road and all roads leading off, Constant Spring Road and all roads leading off, Cassia Park, Armour Heights, Constant Spring Gardens, Meadowbrook, Grants Pen Road and all roads leading off, Charlton Road and all roads leading off, sections of Stony Hill, Wireless Station Road and Diamond Road.
