ST LUCIA: New flights between St Lucia and Dominica
published: Monday | July 31, 2006

CASTRIES, St. Lucia (CMC):

A new regional carrier, Carib Aviation, will on Wednesday commence commercial air services between St. Lucia and Dominica.

The Dominica-based service, which will operate under the name Dominica Air Taxi, will use twin-otter aircraft for travel between the Canefield Airport in Roseau and the George Charles Airport here. The 18-seater aircraft will also travel to the V.C. Bird Airport in Antigua.

Carib Aviation's start of service follows a decision earlier this year by regional carrier LIAT to terminate flights to Canefield and concentrate on the other airport at Menville Hall.
